Charles Gray is driven by a passion for value creation. He has held a diversity of roles of increasing responsibility in both government and industry and has developed a broad understanding of essential elements necessary for success in the health sciences.
Early in his career, Dr. Gray served as a Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) Reviewer and Consumer Safety Officer with the US Food & Drug Administration. Dr. Gray’s industry positions include Director of CMC Regulatory Affairs and Executive Director of Global Product Development with Stiefel, a GSK Company; Senior Vice President, Research and Development at Ei, A Pharmaceutical Solutionworks; Chief Scientific Officer of EnDev Laboratories; and Head of Scientific Operations with Tergus Pharma.
Dr. Gray received a B.S in Chemistry from The College of William and Mary and a Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University. Following graduate school, Dr. Gray completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship with Insmed, Inc. where he focused on biochemical extraction techniques.

Sung Song is a finance executive passionate about reducing inefficiencies with an extensive background in automotive, pharmaceutical, and financial industries with 20 years of experience in transforming corporate finance function from clerical organizations to strategic business partners.
Mr. Song has led over a dozen M&A’s of various sizes at Ford, Pfizer, Stiefel, and GSK while realizing over $250 M of synergy savings in his career. He has led the grand opening of a pharmaceutical R&D HQ facility in RTP, NC, twice led the launch of SAP, and transformed R&D pipeline optimization methods. Mr. Song has last served as the Chief Financial Officer and a board member for Ishoni Dermatology Holdings, LLC.
Mr. Song holds a MBA from University of Illinois and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Illinois University. He is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Matt Kersey successfully transitioned from a bench scientist to leading cross-functional, global product development teams during his 28+ year career in the pharmaceutical industry. He often observed that technical professionals required specialized coaching and training to excel as leaders within their organizations to address the “soft-skill” issues that often derailed product development objectives.
Dr. Kersey formed Transition States Coaching and Training to address these business needs. He employs a unique combination of leadership skills, practical corporate experience and coaching expertise to effectively develop leaders to better meet their business needs and strategic goals.
Dr. Kersey is a co-facilitator of the NC State University Business Coaching certificate program. He is credentialed through the International Coach Federation and has coached technical leaders as an internal coach across the United States, United Kingdom, China, and Latin America. He is a certified Team Coach from the Pyramid Resource Group and Certified Group Coach.
